There is no guage other than your eyeball. It's something to check while your gas tank is filling at slow rate.

I miss the automatic fill-up time when I use to get my windshields done. A couple years ago one of these things failed in Massachusetts, overflowed, caught on fire and destroyed a gas station. Within a week a law was passed and they have all been banned in this state.
