The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is selling drawing tickets for a 2005 Prius, Silver with all the bells and whistles. This has been donated by Toyota to help raise money for research and care centers. 1-$50 and 3-$100. The odds are unbelievable. You can purchase tickets at:

or call the foundation at 323.655.8525

Yeah, but if you look at the fine print, it tells you that the "Prize is subject to a 25% withholding tax." Winning a car is very expensive, and based on the average MSRP of a Prius, you'll be owing the government 5-6K dollars if you win this prize. Not to mention other taxes, fees, and the registration cost, which would easily add up to $8k, and I doubt it would be financeable.

Then turn around and sell if for 25K to your gas-price-shocked neighbor. I would take that return on investment.

Or sell your gas guzzler to pay for the tax on the new Prius. :) Better yet, sell your neighbor's gas guzzler to pay for your new Prius. :D

And if you don't have a place to park your new "free" car, there is alway the curb in front of melgish' house.

You'd have plenty of equity in the car, so yes, it could be financed. You might have to have the cash to get title of the car though.
