I am wondering which states have lower waiting lists. If anybody knows, post a response.

I don't know the answer, but I don't think the wait time is correlated with state. It probably depends far more on regional behavior and individual dealership behavior.

Dan Hecht Toyota in Effinham, IL has had a short waiting list. Several folks from this site have already bought cars from them. (I bought my car from them in May.)

Ask for Bob Hecht. He is honest and straight-forward. The agency is honest too. Several folks, I believe, have written about how they were treated fairly and well. Good car dealership. Aboaut a month wait.

Good luck.

Vancouver, Washington

While every dealer in Portland, Oregon either has a long waiting list or a large dealer markup; Vancouver, Washington dealers seem to have short waits.
