Maybe I'll start Yet-Another-CA-HOV thread to track DMV & FasTrak turnaround times just like there was for the new Prius wait times.

How about those of us who have received our Calif. HOV stickers recently give some timelines so that the rest of us can get an idea of when they might receive their own stickers? And if you're in the SF Bay Area, you may want to provide your FasTrak timeline too....

New Car Purchase

Don't remember the dates, but I sent in the application the first day it was available, and got the stickers in less than a week.

Mine took slightly over three weeks and I sent them in on the first day. Car was new and had no plates. I just gave the VIN number.

Arrived with the VIN number and license as UNK (unknown?) on the paper. Number was over the 6000 mark and my name was incorrectly spelled and juxtipositioned. Oh well...

However, they are too large and require too many placement locations that I may opt out for possiblity of damaging the paint due to sun fade. Friend just had his truck painted ($4000! Not a cheapie overspray job, but they removed all the rubber and moldings) so I may forgo the HOV stickers if they are only good until 2008.

You can have mine....! I don't want the ugly things on my Prius....I've had them for about 2.5 weeks and not ever had to use them yet....

Just thought it be nice to have "in-case"....
