This morning I saw the front passenger side wheel ring missing.
I didn't see any damage to the wheel or tire so it appears some theives
thought they would steal my tires and wheels only to find I have key lock lug nuts installed. So they took the one wheel ring. I phoned the services dept. at Preston Toyota and was told it would be $45. to buy a new one. My Question is how important in MPG is having the wheel rings
on the wheels? or ca I do without them and not notice much change in MPG?

Thank You,
Tony Lisico

Not Important

Many people have taken them off since the car does look better without them. I kept them on because I wanted to protect the wheels from possible scuffs. $45 seems steep!

Wheel Rings?

I haven't seen a new Prius up close. What are the wheel rings you guys are talking about. Doesn't the 2004 have aluminum wheels?
