Does any one have any thoughts about having the 04 Prius UNDERCOATED like Z-Bart or other dealer that does that type of work.
I live in Minnesota where they use a considerable amount of salt on the roads in the winter. For the short time that Prius has been manufactured it is hard to get any hard facts as to how the metal body resists rust.
Do you know if these cars are galvanized to help protect them from winter roads that have been salted?.

After 3 winters in Minnesota, the underneath of my Prius looks strange. The body looks brand new still. That's quite a sharp contrast to the exhaust-system which is now showing a light coating of surface-rust and on the receiver-hitch.

Toyota already does something to treat the underneath of the Prius, and it appears to do a good job.
