I can't find the old search but i remember about 2 years ago i read something abouttowing the prius can anyone help me out i would like to hook it up to my RV and use it on the short parts of the trips

Not sure about the '05 Owner's Manual, but in my '07 Manual it's Section 5 "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY" Page 372. While this applies to having the Prius towed {instead of towing the Prius, if you get the distinction}, the point is clear, that you can't tow the Prius with the front wheels on the pavement. This means you'd have to put it on a flat trailer or a front-wheel dolly.

Unfortunately, the Prius does not provide a manual release of the parking pawls, so you can't put it in NEUTRAL with the power OFF. There's a series of comments in PriusChat.com regarding this Prius peculiarity. This Prius feature also can prevent hand-pushing the Prius out of a tight parking place or garage if it needs to be jump-started or for other emergency services.
