I just bought a 2004 Prius with 26,000 miles. I like everything about it except steering feel on the highway. Low speed feel is fine, but when minor adjustments are called for a highway speed the steering feels "sticky". It doesn't pull in one direction or another, just is reluctant to make sublte changes in direction. I notice this the most when there are drainage grooves in the highway (like they have in California). The tires are in good shape and have been rotated. Is this normal; is there any steps to take? Would an alignment help?

Give yourself a few weeks to get used to the car. No two cars are alike when it comes to the way they "feel."

I'm driving a rental for a few days and immediately noticed that this Chevy feels nothing like my beloved Prius. And I'm sure when I pickup my Prius, it will feel a little strange because I had adapted to the Chevy!
