I have one and it works through the MFD. You get 18 presets on 3 SAT pages. You toggle to the SAT pages via the button on the steering wheel or the AM button on the radio. It is supposed to work with any level of radio available. I am assuming you are talking about the integrated unit, not something that hooks up using FM modulation.

Hey, redwein thanks for the quick response, yes I'm talking about the intergrated unit, the installer told me it's oem and made by panasonic, also what about the antenna where does it go. Thanks AL

I attached the antenna to the roof, just in front of the hatch. The wire runs down through the hatch opening and into the trim panel so very little of it is visible (none is visibile from the inside). I used some double sided tape meant for attaching body mouldings to attach the antenna, instead of just relying on the magnet. The antenna got pushed around by the car wash with just the magnet. Good luck. I think you will be very happy.

Sirius Antenna

Hey, redwein, if the installer says the antenna is to be mounted on the roof by the front windshield, where do the wires go and do they cut a hole in the roof for mounting. Thanks

That sounds like a custom installation and I would imagine they would cut a hole in your roof to run the wire. If you are doing a custom installation though, I would imagine that you could specify to put the antenna wherever looked best to you. Personally, I think it looks better right in front of the back hatch rather than by the windshield but that is just my opinion. If you do it yourself or you don't want them to cut any holes, I think the rear location is the way to go.

I have seen the small mag mount antenna mounted behind the regular antenna on a few Prii. It is very much out of the way and much more attractive than having the antenna on the front of the vehicle.

Now, when will somebody design a sharktale antenna that does both AM/FM and sat that will interface with the existing antenna hole we have right now?

Has anyone asked what the difference is between the Factory Interactive and the Solara kits? I know there is an instruction disk with the factoy interactive but if it's the same equipment...there is a big difference between $245 and $395!

Anyone?
