Well, here I was searching the net for interesting Prius sites and SOMEHOW I came upon a site where you could see dealer inventories from 50 miles from my zip code to the whole US for Prius cars. I saw a BUNCH of vehicles! But I did not bookmark the site, or if I did I can't get back in. It may have had something to do with Chrome Carbook

http://www.chromecarbook.com/home.htm

http://www.chrome.com/maing2/index.asp

as the sites that I visited around that time in my "history" have that address, but I went into it from a dealer site that may have been using it.

Any suggestions???

Thanks, Tom.

If you go to http://www.toyota.com/prius/ and enter a zip code the next screen will give an indication of the dealer inventory for that area.

For instance I live in 98221 and the dealer inventory for the Western Washington state area is "limited" with no count of units available. For the 80027 zip (Denver area) the Denver Metro Area inventory is "good" with 50 units available.

However, take it with a grain of salt. I have a son living in the Denver area and the apparent inventory of 8 Prii (Priuses?) at Boulder Toyota got me excited. Since he lives just minutes away from Boulder he drove up to check things out for me. Guess what, all eight cars are spoken for.

He did come back with this info "They sell more Prius than anyplace else in the Rocky Mtn region (7 states) and therefore get the largest allotment of vehicles. The most common option packages out here (Boulder) are #3, #7 and #9."

Since I am looking out to March as a possible delivery date I may cancel my local order and order one from Boulder. HTH (hope this helps)

Chuck, Thank you for your reply, but that was not what I had seen. The site I had been on showed a line by line listing for each car including the VIN number, and when I selected a certain vehicle and clicked on it it showed the dealer address. Has any one found something like this? Thanks, Tom.

Well now, such a listing of vin numbers by dealer would be very informative.

Tommy, most browsers have a History command which you can use to revisit a website. I'm using Safari as my browser on a Mac (not available for PC/Windows computers) and using the History command I can revisit any website I was on over the last four days even if I didn't bookmark it. Very useful feature and I believe most browsers including IE(?) have this functionality.

Please post again should you stumble back on the website you are looking for.

Chuck
