Low beam lightbulb is dead. Have always just taken car in to have it replaced at dealer but would like to do it myself if possible. I have watched a few online videos and referenced my owners manual. Pretty certain that the light to be replaced is halogen which, if I understand correctly, is the type that I should be able to replace safely on my own. Should I call my dealership before attempting to make sure that is the case? Is there any possibility that in the past the type of bulb was changed by them from halogen to LED ( which is not recommended to be changed by owner ) or is that not even possible...obviously I don't know a lot about this but am willing to learn. The online video and the illustrations and instructions in the manual seem pretty straightforward...I should be able to purchase and replace on my own? Any tips welcome.
