Thanks for the link. As I read the information about all the organizations recognizing Toyota for showing environmental concern with the Prius, including other information from DOE and EPA, I happened to think about environmental and health concerns in regard to disposed tires. Even if a lot are recycled, while they're waiting for that process they accumulate water and become breeding grounds for mosquitoes and the related illnesses they carry. The tires often catch on fire and create a hugh environmental mess. I'd hate to think of any of the Prius tires contributing to that because Toyota decided to use a tire that doesn't last very long.
