As a soon to be former SAAB owner, I have been familiar with Nokian Tires for many years. Saabites consider them the holy grail in many instances.

Looking to upgrade the rubber on the Prius, I searched for an alternative to those tires already discussed on this site. Since I'm one of those people that have always had dedicated summer and winter tires, the all-season approach wasn't a concern.

Remembering Nokian, I found these. Here are the links to read more about them.

No I don't work for Nokian...only searching out a better tire that was environmentally sensitive, better handling and gas saving at the same time. If you search the internet, you'll find two companies in the US that sell these. PM me for where I bought mine. They've only been on my car for about a week...certainly not broken in...and the last short trip of around 100 miles saw a MPG of 61.8! I plan to buy the winter tires as soon as they are in stock.

Figured I share this with all of you.

Nokians

I have the Nokian WRs on my car. Best tire I ever had. Great in the snow and excellent in the rain! Smooth and quiet and decent tread wear too!

I'm also an ex-SAABer! I have used various Nokians on the SAAB and was very impressed. I'm just too cheap to replace the OEM's right now but I will be replacing them with the NRHi Nokians. These tires should be getting more attention around here due to their environmentally friendly construction!
