the salvage 05 prius i bought has good airbags but seatbelts are locked up and wont go anywhere, i am wondering do i need new front airbag sensors, or did the seatbelts go off due to the intense velocity?

i already bought two new seatbelts i just hope that i dont also need sensors considering my airbags didnt pop

I would never re-use seatbelts from a wreck. They are made to stretch in an accident, and they don't unstretch. You could injure yourself with a too-stiff belt if you re-use them.

Stat, the seatbelts have "accident" pretensioners that have their own explosive charges. I reckon you need a new set of belts.

Stat has the belts, but I think s/he wanted to know if s/he needs new sensors, too. Hmm...

If the airbags are good, then the pretensioners probably weren't activated either. Still, if the seatbelts aren't working properly, replace them.
