I have purchased a 2001 Prius which needed a replacement HV battery. After doing some research, I took the HV battery apart and replaced the 3 defective cells and recharged the the rest of the cells. I put the renewed HV battery back in the car and still to my dismay the car continues to show the horrifying "red triangle" with exclamation point in the middle after 2 or 3 miles. I unhooked the 12 volt battery and re-hooked several times and still the "Triangle " came back on after 2 to 3 miles. All battery cells demonstrated 7.9 to 8.0 volts upon replacement and were tested by two different battery testers. I am stumped!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey! I just posted the same problem. Let's see if anyone can help. Here's a tip. Turn the key on, or start it up, and look below the radio and to the right and you will see the INFO button, Push it a couple of times and it will bring up the battery charge meter screen. That way you can see what the state of charge is in your battery. Mine starts out with one bar, then charges from the engine until it goes up past the 80% point to 100%, and then it trips the triangle and warning lights. I've read that it should not go past the 80% point. Then after it sits for an hour, the meter shows that it's down to one bar again. Does yours do the same thing? Luckydevil
