I had to get a new Nextel phone as my last one decided to do an Olympic gold medal dive from my belt clip into the toilet the other day... It had been a while since I'd looked at Nextel phones. They tend to be big and clunky. Nextel actually had recently released a phone that was only mildly big and clunky with some actual features on it like Bluetooth (hooray!), a 2 MP camera (decent quality for a phone- video too), an MP3 player (it'll never replace my iPod but it does have "stereo" speakers and it's LOUD) and good color displays inside and out. It's expensive, even with the rebates, but so far I'm pretty happy with it (for a Nextel phone...) The best part is that it plays very well with my 2004 Prius. I've had no prior Bluetooth experience with my Prius but I've read that there is a wide variation in the level of compatibility. These two seem to really like each other. The signal strength from the phone show up on the display, along with the home/roaming status. Contacts are sent easily (although only one at a time), and the ringtone is sent through the sound system to announce incoming calls on the Nav. display. No issues at all so far. If any of you are stuck with Nextel, as I am, for business reasons, and are looking for a Bluetooth phone that works well with the Prius, the i880 seems to be a winner.
