I hear that the 2004 Prius will be there with a new look. If anyone can get there and take some pictures and provide us with some information about the 2004 car, please let us know. I live too far away to attend.

I'll be attending at least the first press day (Wed April 16th) and have been invited to preview the MY04 Prius.

I'll have my MP3 recorder for interviews as well as my digi camera and digital "film" for more than 250 shots (per day).

I still need to figure out where to publish the best of the photos since they're between 500K and 1Meg in size (No - I WON'T ruin them with compression) and I'm rapidly running out of "free" 10 Meg webspaces.

So - expect hybrid and technology highlights and a couple of photos from Toyota, Honda and possibly Ford if I have time - on Wed evening and more general coverage Thurs evening if I attend the 17th.

As I write up comprehensive reports and publish them, I'll point y'all to them.

I have to hurry up and wait?

I can not wait much longer! Send as many photo's and information about the 2004 Prius as soon as possible including the changes they have made on the inside as well as the outside styling. If anyone has a web site in addition to the one listed above, please share it. I don't know why the Prius gets me excited but it does. If everyone bought one, we could all breath easier. :p

Boy are you in trouble! The first thing you need to learn when dealing with Prius is patience. This summer will be the loooongest in your life. The wait for delivery of the new Prius will seem like forever. (This is a great way for you to get the most from those the warm, pleasant months. For everyone else, they'll just rush by.)

> If anyone has a website

Mine will *eventually* have 2004 stuff. I have 2 friends that have already begun the loooong wait to purchase one. They'll let me digitize it when delivery finally happens.

> Send as many photos

Be careful what you ask for... There are over 650 Prius photos on my website already. :)

Oh my Lord! I just checked out your web site John, and I am impressed. Do you have a job or are you employed by Toyota to help promote the Prius? I think it's great. I do hope you get your hands on a lot of 2004 Prius pictures because it sounds like it will be quite different than what we have seen so far. I want to personally thank you for your enthusiasm towards the hybred engine and look forward to checking out your web site more in the future.

Yes, I program website pages professionally. (Could ya tell?) So composing my own is fairly easy. And the digital photography hobby (obsession?) provides lots of content.

I'm certainly going to try. A friend of mine (the one who helped with the Prius videos on my website) is already planning to set aside some time for me to get photos & video when his 2004 is finally delivered in the fall.

Hopefully, others will offer too since I won't have opportunities like I do with my own Prius... which I don't plan to part with for a long time. After all, someone needs to establish a 100,000 mile hybrid club. Of course though, when I get married we'll need a second hybrid... A single women out there? You know, you can tell a lot about a man by what he drives. :)

Anywho, I'll do what I can to help out.

And no, I don't work for Toyota. But I know they've checked out my website. So hopefully some of the suggestions I compiled from owners and published in the "Prius User-Guide" were used as real-world data to make this next generation Prius even better. That would be quite rewarding for everyone!

I'm still planning to stop by the show as well, since my trip is
just a ferry ride away (I can see Javits from work). I will also
have my digital camera on-hand. Not sure if going on 16th or 17th
yet, will have to see.

Unfortunately I do not have a website to publish on, but will be
more than willing to send CD-Rs to a few people; Send your snail-
mail addresses via PM.

Only problem so far is that I get off work at 7 AM (3rd shift) so
will be half-asleep by noon. :? More likely I'll stop by at 1 PM.

Oh My gosh!

I just saw and read about the 2004 Prius and it is great. I looked at toyotapressroom.com. It has lots of pictures and says it's going to get between 45 and 50 MPG! More power and more room plus cup holders! I am looking forward to hearing from some of you guys who are attending the show.
