Well I purchased a Prius as gas was killing me for my daily 120 mile commute through the mountains in my 04 Jaguar XJ8 so I picked up an 08 Prius base car with the navigation and JBL package. It week will be getting a new stereo in the next few weeks. I am going to start with the head unit only before later moving onto the speakers and sound deadening. After the head unit is installed I will later look to add my MB Quart ZA2-1600.4 4 channel amp and front and rear PPI P65C3 3 way components along with sound deadening of the doors.
- Pioneer AVH4400NEX (got it off of a car audio forum for a steal)
- Sirius XM module for radio above
- Metra TYTO-01
- Metra 95-8240B
- Metra 70-8114
- Metra Axxess ASWC-1

2nd generation Prius is reliable with some caveats. I carry an extra invertor water pump, 04000-32528, in my trunk. They seem to break every 3-6 years. Any mechanic can install it. Please remember, if you get a , service engine light/CEL/MIL, pull over & stop. Prius /hybrids will damage if overheating. ALSO change out 12 volt battery every four years. Otherwise, good car.
