At my local Toyota dealer a sign is posted that all major tire manufacturerd no longer offer Road Hazard (as of Jan 1 2006) on new installed tires. You have to pay $10.00 extra per tire for it if you wish.. Is this the same everywhere? Is the 10 per tire worth it?

I noticed this after they installed my replacement tires with a 50% reduction in tire cost because of unusual wear on the tire.

I don't quite follow what you are saying. Toyota discontinued free 36K roadside assistance (which included roadhazard) for 2006 Prius. I have never heard of a tire manufacturer offering roadhazard for free, but you could purchase the insurance with the tire. Some centers may have included the hazard insurance, but ultimately you probably were paying for it.
