I took mine through a gas station automatic car wash and scratched the clear coat on both sides of the doors near the bottom. I used this same car wash for years with last car. Prius paint is horrible and soft. Easily chips and paint swirls. I am tying to talk to Toyota about it. It is one of my only complaints about the 2024 I just bought. 🤷🏻‍♂️. You will find others complaining about how easily there plant is chipping and such. Not just me. They just keep making stuff cheaper and lower quality as time goes by. It’s the world we live in now. 😔

Sorry to hear that happened. I don’t like automatic washes at all but live in an area where they use some salt so I’m concerned about winter and the undercarriage. I guess I’ll just try to hand wash when the weather permits And deal with the underside at home. After looking things over I’d say this is a real fragile body, likely due to the weight saving effort. The rocker panels are plastic and seem they’d be easily damaged along with the lower front end and the thin plastic underbody panels. Time will tell I guess. As you say they’re all getting cheaper.

Yes I agree and only have been hand washing now. Also went yesterday to price out ceramic coating that last 2-3 years. If it’s not too expensive I may end up doing it.

So do I need all these listed parts for my 2024 limited fwd? I don’t need the wheel and tire as I already have the spare tire and jack I just need the foam and bolt to secure it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So if I have the spare tire and Jack already and just want the foam kits and bolt to hold tire in can you please list the part numbers you used for yours? I would really appreciate it. I have the 2024 limited fwd. thanks in advance. ☺

You don't need the first part listed (Protector, spare wheel carrier) or the flange nuts. You will need the 2 parts labeled Box, Deck Floor, both LH and RH. Those are the foam pieces. You will also need the Carrier, Spare Wheel (51931-10040)--this is the bolt to secure it. You will also need the Protector, Spare Wheel (64778-47090). This piece is where the tire sits and the bolt is screwed through this piece to secure the tire. Please refer to the video in post number 12 to see these parts and how they fit together. The video does show an AWD vehicle, so the parts I said you don't need are needed for that model. Hope this helps.

I have been trying to make sense of it all lol I ordered the bolt and have the two sides in my cart. I was confused by the two side thing. Very weird that they don’t make it one piece with two parts 🤷🏻‍♂️thanks so much for the fast response again.
