Any idea how to update the navigation map on the SD card? I got my hopes up when googled for the information and came up with a Toyota branded Garmin site suggesting you could get updates from Garmin using Garmin Express. I've used Garmin for several years now with my Honda and for $80 have a lifetime update for my current Nuvi.
Problem is, instructions said to go to Navigation system, select Settings->System->Update. There isn't such an option on the Prius. Can't find much in the owner's manual.
Then somewhere there I saw it mention for Toyota Garmin navigation systems, probably not for the ETune systems.

Then I found a site that seemed to relate to all Toyotas but was for Yaris. The process there was to download a toolbox to do the update. Again, probably not for the Prius with ETune.

I'm betting that the dealership will want something like $250 for the update like they did for the 2004. Seems silly to charge those prices when Garmin has gotten reasonable for theirs. If that's the going rate, so be it but if it is obtainable elsewhere like Garmin for a reasonable price and the dealer is charging mostly for labor, that's ridiculous.

Aside: I hope I can get an electronic version of the manual
WAIT! You CAN get the owner's manual in PDF from Toyota's site: https://www.toyota.com/owners/resources/owners-manuals/prius/2016?garagePrefVehicle=0&garageModelName=Prius&garageYearValue=2016&addToVehicleList=false&remRecentVehicle=false

Just made a copy of the SD card as a backup and looked at the contents. Contains kiwi files, just like the DVD's did
