NAPA 2306 air filter didn't fit without cutting

http://www.mikepaul.com/OEMAirFilter.jpg is the air filter I removed. I don't recall having it changed but it looks too clean for 26,000 miles.

The notches (on each side and both ends) which go about 3/4 of the way down, allow the filter to seat properly in the opening. The NAPA 2306 filter has no notches, and I had to use tinsnips the store had handy to cut the plastic so the filter went in properly.

I'm not sure how many people change their own air filters, since it was tough tracking down a filter no matter what brand I found a part number for, but maybe this information will help somebody.

If they've already fixed it and I just got an old filter, let me know...
