I found a black plastic cover plate under the seat of my '05 Prius. It is about 8 1/2" by 3", and has the number 55414-47020 on the back, also the letters "LHD". Does anyone know where it belongs?

Inside the upper glove box. It's a shelf. Tadaaaaa! The LHD means you drive a "left hand drive" vehicle. If you were in UK, it would be RHD. See the things we know (or think we do)?

Is it trapazoidal in shape? Without going out to my car and looking in the upper glove compartment, I think what you are looking at is, if it is trapazoidal and has a tray like appearance, the upper glove compartment shelf.

It is trapezoidal, and the upper glove box is where it belongs. Thanks!

Slide it between the guides and it clicks in. If you just set it on top it will keep falling out.
Been there.
