Does anyone who's purchased the "In-Dash 6-Disc CD Changer" option (not the one that comes with package nine ... the one you 'add on' when you DON'T get that option)... know if this will play MP3's.

Thank you.

No it does not. However it does handle "CD Text" which is a way of enconding song metadata (title, artist name, album name, etc.) in a CD audio disc. I was quite bummed about this one but, oh well. Buy a Neuros instead. At least you will be able to play OGGs that way.

Thanks ... I suspected as much, but was trying to remain optimistic.

CD TEXT ... I've tried "encoding" some using NERO but it only seems to "read" the TRACK name ... nothing more. Will keep testing (and making coasters ... <grin> ). Seems like ITunes won't even encode CDText, wonder if Roxio does. Oh well!

And, have a IPod with over 3,000 MP3 loaded ... been using my ITrip but get a lot of static. Keeping my fingers crossed that the folks at COASTALETEC (or ???) will come up with an adapter for the '04 soon so I can do a "line-in" to the existing sound system.
