Which on-line map do you find to be the most accurate for long trip planning?
Planning a trip from NC to Buffalo, NT and there is a 40 mile difference between the two.

I haven't used Rand McNally on-line myself, so I can't compare. However, 40 mi. seems a bit excessive/unusual... was the route otherwise the same?

From my experience I would say that Rand McNally is better for long trips. I went from Kansas City to Myrtle Beach and my online planner matched exactly as far as road signs and turns. I do admit that I really did not pay that much attention to the actual distance, but the time given was accurate for the speed limit on the roads. I had my wife and 2 kids in the car, so I stayed with the speed limit the entire trip. When I planned it on Mapquest I did not like the absence of finding lodging near the stpping points. The feature on Rand McNally was much better for that.

Mapquest

Mapquest has lots of problems within the Phoenix metro area and Henderson,NV.
I have tried emailing them with problems. Alas the problems still exist.

Perhaps they are better cross country.
