DanMan32 is back! Any of the old members still around?

Since my 2004 Prius package 9 had been totalled back in '09, I've been driving 2 Honda Accord EX-L. Right after the accident gas prices shot way up so a Prius was hard to come by, and I got a pretty good deal on the Accord. Then Toyota totally redesigned the Prius for MY 2010 and I couldn't stand how they designed the console and put the shifter there.
Also the Accord offered a few things that I really wish the Prius had: locking glove box and trunk. OK, the Prius is a hatch there's no way to separately secure the rear cargo area. Also had power driver seat and a bit bigger of a car. The Hondas weren't bad on gas either for a conventional car. I averaged about 28-32 across both of them, usually around 30. Even though I favored the Honda for cost over convenience, I stil considered the Prius to have excellent technology behind it.

Anyway, with all the new safety features out there, and my 2nd Honda getting up there in mileage, it was time to consider a trade up. I decided to go back to the Prius and get better mileage again.
I now have a black 2016 Prius 4, only had 5448 miles on it. Unfortunately it didn't have the safety package like I thought it had and I really wanted. Maybe in a year or two I'll trade up. It does have blind spot and cross traffic monitoring as well as the backup camera, so that will help me with backing out of parking spaces or backing into them.
Man, there's a LOT to learn about this car. Looking at the owners manuals (yes manuals, as in plural) I feel like I am studying for an IT certification. Is there a CTPO (Certified Toyota Prius Owner) cert?
I don't have any tech info for this car yet and I haven't looked at the ones I had for the 2004, so I'm back to being a novice when it comes to the technical specifics. At least I have a background of how the Toyota Hybrid technology works.

Car gets excellent gas mileage. I was weary of EPA MPG being only 50 which was another reason I didn't jump back on the Prius bandwagon sooner. I didn't think the savings for the Prius outweighed the conveniences I had in the Honda, especially when my commute these last 10 years have been on the highway.
But I am getting much better than 50 on my 2016 so I'll be saving more on gas than I thought. I can get 50 on a bad day (did a few short trips less than 5 miles today and all were above 50), and usually am quite over 60. lets see if I can again join the 700 mile on a tank club. I'll have to get to know the gas gauge before I attempt that though.

Recent hobbies that have taken me on other forums (even taken me off of FacebooK:
I was given a DJI Phantom 3 Advannced quad copter for Christmas and have been flying it almost every week. I've been on PhantomPilots for that.
Does Prius Online have an app?

So, this site has changed quite a bit. Too many ads all over the place and doesn't work well on Edge. At least on on Edge on my desktop, that may have some bugs in it. Chrome works OK.

Enough rambling. Good to be back. I'll probably be paying for a lifetime membership to cut back on all these ads.
As for technical advice, I probably can't give any yet, might even have to ask a few myself. Be patient.

Hi, DanMan32! I still hang around here occasionally, but I don't see many old names. However, the Yahoo "Prius_Technical_Stuff" group has quite a few familiar names from the old days when my Prius was shiny and new. (It has over 230,000 mi now!)
