You can order personalized plates at the following URL. You can order long in advance of receiving your Prius and the DMV will hold the plate until your car arrives. If the plate is either available or unavailable the web site will tell you immediately.

Yesterday I ordered SF60MPG for my car which is licensed in San Francisco.

The following plates are still available if you want to order one.

LA60MPG
YO60MPG
60MPGS
Miserly

or a combination of your initials or abbeviation of your city name with 60MPG.

Also if you order the kiddy plate you can use the hand icon which is the universal sign for stop and order these plates. In the following examples I have used the @ as a substitution for the hand.

PRIUS was already taken.
