Your poll is not very good. You miss out on those on a list that have waited longer than 5 months, LIKE ME!

Just today I got offered a 2004 in 2 weeks, after waiting since Feb. Well, with 2005s right around the corner, no thanks.

A month ago I was still 25 back with 10 a month coming to the dealer, sounds to me like many are passing on 2004s.

Care to expand on the "good price", I wonder if you paid over MSRP.

Yes, I did. That was in the example........

In the case of a Prius, paying up to $5000 over MSRP for one with no wait could be considered "good".

Example? what example?, I don't understand.

As for $5000, at 200,000 miles if you average 45 mpg, you will break even with a car that gets 30 mpg. Now if you are all about hugging trees, then you won't mind the extra cost of your Prius.

I'll get one at MSRP or I won't get one at all.

So, how many miles do you have on it? what kind of mileage are you getting?

Today, the dealer called, we can have a blue #9 in 2 weeks. So we got on one list in Feb. The dealer that called we got on their list April 20. So, 4 months wait for MSRP isn't bad. Anyway, we passed on it for a 2005 in November.
