My Prius 2005 supposedly came with Bluetooth capability (option package 6?), and I have a phone that does Bt, but I can't find any information in the manuals on how to make them work together. The salesman and service ppl I talked to didn't seem to know either.

TIA

What phone do you have, and who is your carrier?

In a nutshell, you tell the Prius you want to pair your phone, then you tell your phone to accept the Prius' attempt to pair with it.

It s a very polite introduction. "Pruis, meet phone. Phone, this is Prius." "How do you do?" And they have some small talk, and exchange pleasantries. :)

That's what I needed to know to get started. This time I was able to find the menu page with the Set Phone button. Thanks for the assist!

I have a Sprint PPC 6700 running Windows Mobile 5.0. Does anyone know how to make it 'Send Phone Book'?

Absolute basic info for Bluetooth phone pairings is in the Prius' Navigation Owner's Manual.

bluetooth for blackberry

I have an 05 Prius with bluetooth capability and a Blackberry 7290 PDA/phone. I have been able to connect where I can make and receive calls, but I cannot seem to find a way to transfer my phone book. My phone is not covered at "letstalk.com". Does anyone have an idea of where I can find instructions (have already looked at the Blackberry site wit no luck)? :(

According to the Canadian Tech Tip TIP2131, the Blackberry 7100r and Blackberry 7290 can NOT transfer the phone book, either one number at a time or multiple numbers at a time.

I think I've heard of some people using an intermediary phone or laptop to transfer it for them...

Thank you Michelle. Although I am disappointed that the address book from the 7290 Bleckberyy can't be downloaded directly, it is good to know that there might be another way to retrieve the address book. You mentioned downloading through another phone or a laptop. Do you know where I can get details? Also, you mentioned canadian Tech Tips. Where can I access them?
