Here in SoCal, the summer sun makes reading the Multi Function Display
next to impossible, at least for me. Is there a hood available that might offer some type of anti reflection protection?

I think I have seen them available on eBay. You can also make one yourself from cardboard to see if it works before buying something.

Hi RiverRat! I went to the OC Prius Club meeting and they raffled one off.. its actually pretty cool because most of the ones I've seen online were cloth.. and I guess someone that makes them finally switched to a hard plastic (pretty nifty looking).

Try taping a cardboard shade temporarilly. It's really not the solution. I threw the one I purchased on "E" bay away!
And that problem isn't just in California, I hear the Eskimo owners have trouble seeing the thing also for several months of the year.

I got a sun hood on eBay that is made of the hard plastic and attaches with velcro. It seems to work great and I would recommend it. Just do a search for Prius sun hood. Good Luck.

Be sure your sunglasses aren't polarized it just makes seeing the MFD worse IMO.
