Today I noticed my 2016 Prius had a sound coming from the front right side. When I stopped to look, there was this piece that was moving up and down through bumps. It looks like a bolt or two are missing. Does anyone know what part this is? I am trying to get a best guess at cost. Thank you!!

I had the same problem with my 2014. But it was due to our Texas snowmageddon 2 years ago. The snow and ice tore off my whole plastic part under the seats, the part under the engine, both wheel wells and the part that goes under the radiator. I bought all my pieces off Amazon so I’ll look what it’s called. Also some parts are held on with specialty screws to your body, engine or other plastic parts. I think I just bought an assortment of clips, plugs and screws for my Prius. I’ll get back with you what that part is called in a few ~Robin

Ok this is what I found. If it’s the tiny part under your radiator that scraps on everything it’s called Engine Splash Shield OE Number: 5142047030 there are tons of aftermarket ones on Amazon but don’t come with the clips, screws or plugs.
I then bought from Amazon GOOACC GRC-32 100 Pcs 100pcs Type Retainer for Lexus Toyota Body, Splash Shield Clips 90467-07201 Replacement, Quality Nylon Push Rivets with Bonus Fastener Remover. Especially since I had a lot of connections that have to be done.
My only problem is I don’t have.a lift or know if someone with one. I can’t drive it up on my ramps because the front bumper hits the ramps before the tires even get close. So I’m waiting for a dry day to hack up the car. Put the ramps under fir safety and remove lace all my splash shields/covers.
However I know lots of people that just take these splash shields and never replace them because they get torn up on railroad crossing, speed bumps or speed cushions, dips in intersections or those annoying curbs you need to drive over to get into your driveway.
