Is the lamp for the headlights on the Prius 2003 the same lamp that is used for the 2002?

Cheers,

There has been no major design change in the Prius, except the cruise control is now an option. SO I would have to say yes, but your best bet would be to call the dealer and ask. 8)

nothing major different between the US Prius between the 2001-2003 model years.
(Some of the computers may have an upgraded version, but you'll only get a change if you have a big warning light episode that is usually covered by a TSB.)

Differences for the 2002 model year over the 2001:
options added of cruise control, Daytime running lights, side air bags, and the GPS/Navigation system.
colors added: Blue Moon Pearl and Brilliant Blue Pearl.

Differences for the 2003 model year from the 2002 model year:
color deleted: Blue Moon Pearl
colors added: Golden Pearl and Black

Do note that the cruise control can be added to a non-cruise control equipped 2001-2003 Prius.

DRLs, GPS/Navigation, and side air bags cannot be added to a non-equipped from the factory Prius.

Comment about not being able to add certain mods post buy

You can add a navigation system, try costaletech.com. They mod your screen and make it compatible with aftermarket systems.

You just can't add the factory one, unless you want to spend $4000+ just in parts, let alone labor...

The CoastalETech Viewtech unit is probably the closest that you can get to the factory unit, except that you cannot input any data through the touch screen. Other aspects (display on the LCD screen, voice commands over audio system) are the same.
