I've done it, and it worked OK.
First thing to check is whether you are using the correct procedure. The CoastalETech website has instructions for programming transponder keys, and a different set of instructions for programming remote door lock controllers. You won't get very far if you're using the wrong instructions.
Next possibility - it's possible to fill up the remote door lock receiver (four remote controllers maximum). I suggest that you use the erase-all-controllers procedure to get those missing remotes out of the memory (just in case someone tries to use them to grab some of your stuff). Then add in the new remote controllers.
Last possibility - you need to run through the steps of the procedure reasonably quickly. There's no need to go at it in a mad rush, but you can't wait about either.
