2005 delivered in October. 25,000 on it so far.. driver side front wearing on the outside.. had the alignment checked.. left front toed out.. rear wheels not true.. mechanic says: right toe could pull the left along causing the wear.. and the only adjustments are toe ... no read adjustments.. just keep rotating.. now Iknow why they recommend 4.500 on rotations.. any other suggestions?

So, does that mean there's no correction that can be done to prevent the outside edge wear?

My OEM tires were showing it, also at 25,000+, and part of the plan for the new tires was to get an alignment to keep that from happening to them. If it's not fixable, I'm going to be annoyed...

rear wheels can be shimmed. they don't like to do it because it's a pain and they will charge you accordingly. but they can be shimmed. heck, i don't even know if all dealerships do shims. maybe check out a non-dealer alignment shop.

My local Goodyear dealer regularly shims the rear wheels when needed and it dosen't seem to be that expensive. I haven't had the Prius in yet for new skins but It was done on my voyager regularly at 65,000 mile tire changes.' My Toyota dealer advised me that the 5,000 mile tire rotation was more important than the oil and filter change. Maybe now I'm learning why.
