Thanks for the info, John! It'll be interesting to see how the "real world" fuel economy numbers work out once new owners of the '04 Prius start driving them in Oct.
Most "current" Prius owners have found that, unlike the EPA results, typically their highway fuel economy is higher than in "city" driving -- the opposite of the EPA test results. To the best of my knowledge this is because of the design of the EPA fuel economy testing -- it's not a "bug"; it's a "feature".
