On several occasions, I've feathered the accelator in my '04 to find that, instead of the yellow electric-only display I expect (stealth mode), no colored arrows appear at all. If I let the car drop into a coast, the green arrows appear, if I hit the accelerator a bit harder, the yellow arrows appear. Current MPG display in all three of these modes is 99.99.

Has anyone else noticed this? Anything to be concerned (or to cheer) about? My assumption with stealth would be electric only or coast/regenerate, but not something in between.

You named it, it's called coasting. You find the 'sweet spot' b/w powering the wheels and regenerating the battery. Seems to vary how difficult it is to coast based on speed, if you're going down a hill and battery charge status in my experience.

The only advantage of 'coasting' is to avoid the inherent slowing/regen braking. Basicly the only thing slowing the vehicle is drag.
