Hi everyone! I'm about to put myself on a list in Los Angeles for a 2005 Prius and wanted to know if anyone had suggestions on good dealerships and ideas on what I should expect to pay for a package #9.

Thanks!

At North Hollywood Toyota, $5k over, Westminster Toyota (Trask & Magnolia) $7k over. N. Hollywood Toyota will tell you the battery has a 8 year warranty, of course they are wrong but for $5k over, what do you want?

You want to get one at MSRP, of course there is a list. Go see Chip or Geoff at RSM Toyota.
Thanks for the quick response! Which is RSM Toyota? Thanks!
I can put you in a new Prius very soon as soon as less than a month.. Email me for more info.. [email protected]

I really recommend Miller Toyota in Culver City though... North Hollywood, Hollywood and Santa Monica Toyota are the worse dealerships to deal with since they are charging over 5,000.00 over MSRP.. How I know? I have dealt with them and found they are very stubborn and obnocious.. yeah, I would go with Miller Toyota ion Culver City...

I got mine from Dianne at Carson Toyota. I know she has quite a long list, but you won't pay over MSRP.

Subject: Re: Customer Order for Prius

Hi there xxxx! Congratulations on your choice of cars - the new Prius is
one popular car!

We are adding you to the ever-growing list! With order volume so high, we
have stopped accepting deposits for the Prius and are just taking names and
numbers and information pertaining to your order, such as all color choices
and packages you are open to. This way, we only call you when a car
acceptable to you is coming. It's very likely to be a 2005 model you get --
but I have no idea of pricing or packages this far in advance.

There are so many possible combinations (with 9 different packages) and so
many different color combinations and interiors, it's still a bit of a
"wild card" to hope that the right car in the right color with the right
package might just drop in order of everyone's wishes, and many folks are
taking a variety of cars that come sooner versus waiting for what they
wanted originally, so it's eternally difficult to determine where you are
in line. We'll have to keep you posted.

Thanks!

First e-mail I sent her was because someone on this site said how great she was, probably you. I got no response from her. I babbled about how I had seen her name on this website, blah blah blah, was trying to be kind to her, nothing.

Then I went to the website after someone mentioned her again, this time I got that nice e-mail. Yes they appear to have their act together now.

I ordered from Dianne and Linda at Carson Toyota back in October...and I'm still technically waiting! They kept pushing back the delivery estimate date. Eventually a friend offered me his spot in line at Penske Toyota in Downey and now I've got a silver package nine. Originally wanted the tideland package nine, and I still think tideland looks better, but the silver is still very nice.

I think I'd have paid MSRP at Carson, but at Penske I paid $1k over. Still, I've had my car for four months now, whereas I'd still be waiting if I went with Carson.

I like the silver just fine and I am tired of waiting, where do you park it? hehe, just kidding. The wait goes on.........
Hamer Toyota - Mission Hills

I paid MSRP after five months on the waiting list at Hamer:
http://www.hamertoyota.com
11041 Sepulveda Blvd, 91345
(in the triangle contained by the 5 / 118 / 405)

My experience with the salesperson, Jesse Sanchez, was
OK to good; he was quite pleasant, fairly knowledgeable,
and responsive, but not particularly proactive.
