Daytime Running Lights

Has anyone installed a switch on a 2002 to turn off their Daytime Running Lights? I talked to Dave at Coastal, and he is working on a fix for the DRL, but in the meantime I am being my usual impatient self. I had asked this question in the Yahoo group and was told to ground the yellow with black stripe wire that comes off the top plug on the body computer. The only yellow with black stripe wire that I can see comes off the bottom plug on the body computer. (Thanks to the person who responed to my Yahoo request, I won't give your name so you don't get unwanted e-mails.) Could someone give me advise as to which wire to ground on a 2002 Prius? BTW, after a lot of searching, I could only find a very ugly 3-way automotive switch to use. I sure that Dave will produce a much more appealing product compaired to what I will end up with.
Thanks for the help,

Won't this change your car insurance rates? I think I got a break with DRL.

I am at a loss............why do want to turn your DRL off?

No kidding... why on earth would a person want to defeat such an obvious safety feature, an option which he/she had to pay an extra $40 to get in the first place? In this day and age of heavy traffic just about everywhere a person drives, I wouldn't buy any new car unless it had DRL's. Otherwise, it would seem like something out of the 1960's when safety wasn't much of a consideration. Next we'll be using scissors to remove those "unnecessary" seat belts.

When I drive to work, it is four lane, divided hiway with speeds at 35 and 45 mph. In the morning and night I am in traffic, and would prefer to turn off my DRL. Also, at night, I like to back in my garage. I live at the top of a hill, and my lights shine directly into my neighbors house. With my old car, I would turn off my lights before I backed into my garage at the request of my neighbor. I also live towards the edge of the city. When I drive in the country on two lane roads I like to have the DRLs so other cars can see me better. I would just prefer to be able to turn them off and on depending on where I am driving.
