I noticed this during the first few days of ownership and am completely surprised the finish hasn't been changed in the newer models. Especially when reading how the seat material has been especially selected for it's ability to repel dirt. For gosh sakes, don't try to spray any dust type of repellant on the dash (like armoural) I use a small calcarcover treated dust brush on the dash but even this will really not do a perfect job. This is one dash you don't want to throw sunglasses on, or place a cellphone or book. When I get tired of looking at the damage (scratches in finish) I believe I will take my car into a car upholstery shop and get some kind of a fitted vinyl cover made for it. Not the standard sold on "E" bay as they cover too much, including the air-bag compts. Material will have to be very selective so as to avoid glare.
