Hi folks,
Toyota put out this lovely 7th-grade-level bulletin on the chemistry of the combustion processes that lead to pollutants. The graphs are real handy and informative.
Graphs include HC & CO & NOx emissions for rich v lean air fuel mixtures. Also explains why the lean-burn (i.e., Insight5spd) releases more NOx. Describes why cold engines release more CO when the cat is least able to handle it.

Here is the problem...

Letting non registered folks post to the forums will always result in someone who is a spammer using a forum like ours. It is one of those things that will require constant vigilance against.

I'm going through the threads again and getting rid of those spam posts.
