Just heard they are quickly running out of Car Pool Lane Sticker Allocations. They are only giving out 75,000. I have a Prius on order but am affraid when it comes in, all will be gone. Anyone have any details. When we call DMV they are helpless. Also, application calls for license number - that adds another month on a new one. Anyone have any luck getting stickers w/o license.

According to poster "ceric" in another thread:

"As of the end of June, there were 57,164 hybrids registered in California, though not all would be car pool-eligible, according to the Department of Motor Vehicles."

I wouldn't worry about it, if your Prius is already on order. And I definitely wouldn't try to short-circuit the system. The DMV is notoriously picky about having everything just-so.

Take a deep breath and contemplate the flowers while you're waiting.
