One thing to consider is that your mileage will decrease as the temperature decreases and the ICE has to run longer periods of time to maintain high temperature for low emissions. I have an '04 Prius in Alaska and this summer I averaged 53 mpg, since Oct started I have dropped to 47 mpg.
