Every now and then my Toyota 2011 Prius will not turn on. When it does not turn on, it shows the attached lights. After a few min of keep pressing and/or let go of the power button, it comes on.

I've tried to test the 12v battery, but the youtube videos I've been watching, the procedure says to push the "car" button. My 2011 Toyota Prius does not have a "car" button.

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a 2014 Prius Gen 3. I put my foot on the brake pedal and slightly push the star button, Do not push all the way in. I was pushing too hard on this button and was having the same problem. You may also have dust accumulation under the button, if so take a vacuum cleaner with a hose and suck out over the top of the start button. Hope this solves your problem. T.C
