I have a 2004 Prius and am going to purchase the Toyota recommended phone Motorola V600.

Can someone elaborate EXACTLY what is involved in programming the car and phone to work together. Are the instructions included with the phone or car manual? I know it is supposed to be a breeze to connect but am wondering what exactly is involved with this process.

Thanks..... :?

Easy

The setup is easy. Its all covered in the book.
Basically you go thru and pair up the car with your phone and thendepending on your phone as to how to send a contact via bluetooth to the car. Its a snap.

I have the Sony Ericsson T637, works great.

I have a Motorola V600, and it works fine with the 04 Prius. About the only quirk, is that it refuses to send the selected entry for multiple-entry numbers. I just copy the one I want to a new entry, and send that. It actually works better, as then the screen can show which one.
Example, I'll split "Jane Doe's" entries with the copy command (on the phone) to "Jane D Cell" and "Jane D Home", then can easily send them to the car.

The most up-to-date setup guides seem to be found on letstalk.com, for the Moto V600:

For other Bluetooth enabled phones, the select page is:

Good luck.
