Does anyone know if the BT on the 06 Prius (Package 6, JBL 9 speaker, no Nav.) is the one with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile?

"Belkin on Friday announced the TuneStage for iPod nano, which connects the iPod nano to a home entertainment system or vehicle audio system wirelessly, using Bluetooth technology. It costs $179.99 and is coming in July. The TuneStage transmitter can also work in a car or using headphones, without the receiver, if either support the BlueTooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)."

This would be great if it is supported on the Prius.
Cheers,
D.

I doubt it. The BT is intended for the phone. In the 2004/2005 system, the only speaker in the car used for the BT phone connection is in the lower driver door. I understand they now use all speakers in the 2006, but I believe it is still mono.

Bluetooth

Yes even my late model 2006 uses only the lower left door speaker. I am very pleased with my bluetooth phone and this is one of my favorite accessories on the car. Talk about hands free this is the way to go. :D
