This would be cool
I could register my cell phone as a fob and carry no key at all

Not sure if they could get it to detect where the bluetooth device is like they do with the fob ( if inside the car don't allow touch unlock from outside ...... )

I love it that I can't lock my fob in the car
dont need $200 a year onstar for that :p

Bluetooth is with the Navigation system, not part of the Smart Entry and Start system.

I guess it would depend on whether your Bluetooth phone has a rolling-ID chip in it or not (for security reasons), if it were to be considered for a keyfob...
