Wondering if the playa will effect the technology under the hood?

I doubt it will be worse for the Prius than for an ordinary car... all the hybrid stuff is sealed. Maybe the battery cooling air circulation?

I'm a little worried how the playa dust will be for my finish and the car. But I'm also interested in the possibility of using the Prius as a 12V generator at my Burning Man camp. Anybody want to discuss this?

That is a great Idea. You could cook your dinner under the hood wrapped in foil while you run the Prius as a generator.

Probably not. Engine wouldn't be running often enough.

By the way, what are you guys talking about? Burning Man, Playa? Playa dust?
