any strip protection for side doors?

I jus bought a new Prius (!) and was wondering if anybody had any thoghts on the following; Many other cars have those plastic/rubber side strips so that when people open their doors in a parking lot, the other car's doors don't get dings. I wish the Prius had these. Does anyone know of any modifications available to add these strips to a Prius? Is it neccessary?
