Well I kept seeing ads for some SUV (I think Honda or Nissan (?)) that was promoting wireless internet that follows the car.. I would guess something similar.

OK, so it uses Verizon's cellular internet service. That's what I wanted to know. You can get this service for laptops as well.

Just get a phone like the Palm Treo and you can use it as a wireless modem anywhere.

Worked great on our trip last weekend. I was able to get work done while my wife took the wheel for a bit.
