That Speed Control lever seems to always be hit by my knee if the steering wheel isn't squared up while parking.

Usually when I drive into a parking space the wheel is a positioned a little as in a right turn. When I exit the car, the Speed Control Lever is straight down and my knee hits it pretty hard at times.

Any costly snap-offs yet?

Two solutions are to try the seat back further so your knee doesn't have to fold so much, or raising the steering column a bit to provide clearance.

Or turn the wheel a bit before exiting.
